8th January – 12th January 2024

Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL)

The format of the school requires physical attendance.
The School will issue certificates that can be used to get ETCS from your home university.
The European Network for Cybersecurity (NeCS) PhD School was launched seven years ago, in response to the increase need of highly qualified experts in cyber-security. The School addresses the issues of training and development of talented junior researchers as indicated in the European Cybersecurity strategy and highlighted in the EC’s Digital Agenda.

The School has been supported over the years by several EU projects thus becoming an important dissemination opportunity for Horizon Europe. Over the years, it contributed to build-up a community of researchers and students who see the School as an opportunity to disseminate the latest research results and to get in touch with the latest priorities coming from the world of industry.  This year, the School is supported by the Horizon Europe project: CROSSCON (Cross-platform Open Security Stack for Connected Devices) and by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action: DUCA (Data Usage Control for empowering digital sovereignty for All citizens).

The NeCS PhD School is an opportunity to present to young researchers selected innovations and results. The scope of the  School is to present advances in both attacks and defenses in the realm of cybersecurity. As tradition, in its program, the School alternates theoretical lectures with sessions dedicated to hands-on experiences and exercises, such that students can put into practice the theoretical principles and lessons learned during the more classical lectures.
